Uno R3 CH340G Development Board with Micro USB port compatible with Arduino The Arduino Uno R3 CH340G ATmega328p Development Board is the low-cost version of the popular Uno R3 Arduino. It is assembled with the CH340 Micro-USB to Serial converter chip, instead of using an Atmega16U2 chip. We have used plenty of these low-cost Arduino boards with CH340 chips, and have found them to work perfectly. The only time the CH340 chip is used is during programming and when using the serial output of the Micro-USB port. During normal operation, this Arduino Uno R3 board is identical to the more expensive version without the CH340 chip. Main changes from the older version: 1. Two rows of holes for the pins (Male and Female). So it can be connected with normal Female Jumpers. 2. Additional 3 rows of the holes for wiring. 3. Changes to the DIP package of ATMEGA328P to flat package. 4. CH340G replace ATmega16U2

Uno R3 Board compatible with Arduino This board is based on and fully compatible with Arduino Uno R3. In addition to all the features of the previous board, the Uno R3 now uses an ATmega16U2 instead of the 8U2 found on the Uno (or the FTDI found on previous generations). This allows for faster transfer rates and more memory. No drivers are needed for Linux or Mac (info file for Windows is needed and included in the Arduino IDE), and the ability to have the Uno show up as a keyboard, mouse, joystick, etc. The Arduino Uno R3 also adds SDA and SCL pins next to the AREF. In addition, there are two new pins placed near the RESET pin. One is the IOREF which allows the Arduino shields to adapt to the voltage provided from the board. The other is not connected and is reserved for future purposes. The Uno R3 works with all existing shields but can adapt to new shields which use these additional pins. UNO SMD Board compatible with Arduino The Uno SMD board is based on the ATmega328. It has 14 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs), 6 analog inputs, a 16 MHz crystal oscillator, a USB connection, a power jack, an ICSP header, and a reset button. It contains everything needed to support the microcontroller; simply connect it to a computer with a USB cable or power it with an AC-to-DC adapter or battery to get started. The Uno SMD development board comes with a CH340G USB to UART converter chip. So in order to use this board, we need to install the CH340 driver. It can be powered via a USB connection or with an external power supply. The power source is selected automatically. The AC-DC adapter can be connected by plugging a 2.1mm center-positive plug into the board's power jack. Leads from a battery can be inserted in the Gnd and Vin pin headers of the POWER connector. The board can operate on an external supply of 6 to 20 volts. If supplied with less than 7V, however, the 5V pin may supply less than five volts and the board may be unstable. If using more than 12V, the voltage regulator may overheat and damage the board. The recommended range is 7 to 12 volts.
