Cytron SmartDriveDuo-60A 7V-45V DC Motor Driver
Cytron SmartDriveDuo-60A 7V-45V DC Motor Driver The Cytron SmartDriveDuo-60A 7V-45V DC Motor Driver is a high-performance dual-channel motor controller capable of delivering 60A continuous current per channel, making it ideal for powering high-torque motors in combat robots, sumo bots, and advanced robotics projects. Designed with versatility in mind, this Cytron 60A motor driver accepts a wide input voltage range from 7V to 45V and supports multiple control interfaces including RC (radio control), PWM, analog voltage, and UART serial commands - perfect for seamless integration with microcontrollers like Arduino and PIC. Drawing from the success of previous Cytron motor drivers such as MD10C and MDDS10, the SmartDrive motor controller 60A includes a host of smart features. It is equipped with a built-in brushless fan for efficient cooling, high-frequency 16kHz MOSFET switching for silent operation, and onboard temperature sensors with stage-by-stage current limiting to prevent overheating. The controller also features easy RC receiver integration using a 2×3 header pin, plus a battery low-voltage warning system for safe operation. Whether you’re upgrading your robot's power system or building from scratch, the Cytron dual channel motor controller ensures robust, smart, and reliable motor control. Features: It is a DC brush motor driver, not for brushless motors. A single power action simply connects power to the battery input. Dual Channels: It may run two brush motors independently or simultaneously. Operating modes include RC (RC servo signal), Analog, PWM, and simplified/packetized UART. PWM mode now supports signed magnitude and locked anti-phase. The top cover includes two DC brushless fans to cool the driver. There are two manual/test buttons for each channel. There are two output indicator LEDs for each channel. Power, error indicator, run status (left and right) LEDs The on-board reset button is used to restart the MCU after changing operation mode. Temperature feedback to regulate current and prevent MOSFET overheating. At room temperature, it can support up to 60A of continuous current. Supports up to 100A peak for one second. As the temperature rises, the current will become limited. Suitable for fighting or sumo robots. The switching frequency is 16KHz, allowing for quiet operation. An onboard switching voltage regulator improves power efficiency. Battery low voltage monitoring mode. We tested this driver with a single power window motor at 24V, full load, and no smoke came out.
