Square Force-Sensitive Resistor FSR 400 series is part of the single zone Force Sensing Resistor family. The model 406 FSR is a single-zone Force Sensing Resistor optimized for use in human touch control of electronic devices such as automotive electronics, medical systems, and in industrial and robotics applications. FSRs are two-wire devices. They are robust polymer thick film (PTF) sensors that exhibit a decrease in resistance with increase in force applied to the surface of the sensor. It has a 39.6mm square active area and is available in 4 connection options. This FSR 406 force sensor will vary its resistance depending on how much pressure is being applied to the sensing area. The harder the force, the lower the resistance. When no pressure is being applied to the FSR its resistance will be larger than 1M?. This FSR can sense applied force anywhere in the range of 100g-10kg. Two pins extend from the bottom of the sensor with 0.1" pitch making it bread board friendly. There is a peel-and-stick rubber backing on the other side of the sensing area to mount the FSR. Also check Spectra Symbol 12.7 mm Circular Force sensor . It is a force-sensitive resistor with a round, 0.5? diameter sensing area. The resistance of this FSR varies based on the amount of pressure applied to its sensing area. When no pressure is applied, its resistance is larger than 1M?. The FSR can sense forces in the range of 100g to 10kg.

This SSR allows us to control high-voltage AC loads from lower voltage DC control circuitry. This is achieved by using infrared light as the ‘contact,’. In short, a solid-state relay is just an IR LED and a photometric enclosed into a little box. Thus we make use of the Phototriac coupler to turn it ON and OFF. Solid-state relays offer numerous advantages over mechanical relays. One such advantage is that they can be switched by a much lower voltage and at a much lower current than most mechanical relays. Each one of these relays is designed with four screw terminals for use with ring or fork connectors. And enclosed in a plastic cover that slides over the top of the relay to protect the terminals.
