create a temperature differential on each side. One side gets hot and the other side gets cool. Therefore, they can be used to either warm something up or cool something down, depending on which side you use. You can also take advantage of a temperature differential to generate electricity.

works very well as long as you remove the heat from the hot side. After turning on the device, the hot side will heat quickly, the cold side will cool quickly. If you do not remove the heat from the hot side (with a heat sink or other device), the Peltier will quickly reach stasis and do nothing. We recommend using an old computer CPU
heatsink
or another block of metal to pull heat from the hot side. We were able to use a computer power supply and CPU heatsink to make the cold side so uncomfortable we could not hold our finger to it.

How To Assemble The Thermoelectric Peltier Refrigeration Cooling System DIY Kit:
First, take the large heatsink and the cotton washer (which will hold the Peltier in place), remove the cotton washer’s sticker and place it on top of the large heat sink, making sure to align it.
Apply thermal grease or heatsink compound before installing the

Then, firmly press the
TEC1-12706 Peltier
module
against the heatsink (Remember the cold side of the Peltier module is always the surface with letterings)
Apply the heatsink compound/thermal grease above the

module
and place the small heatsink on top of it and attach the screws
Place the brushless dc fan on top of the large heat sink, align it properly, and screw it in place. Next, attach the safety grill to the brushless dc fan and then screw it in place.

Displaying the current temperature:
The Thermostat will display the current temperature in °C by default. When in any other mode making no input for approximately 5 seconds will cause the thermostat to return to this default display.
Setting the trigger temperature:
To set the trick to a temperature press the button marked 'SET'. The seven-segment display will flash. You can now set a trigger temperature ( in °C) using the '+' and '-' buttons in 0.1° increments. If no buttons are pressed for approximately 2 seconds the trigger temperature will be stored and the display will return to the current temperature.
Setting the Parameters for the W1209 Digital Temperature Controller Thermostat Module :
To set any parameter, first long-press the 'SET' button for at least 5 seconds. The seven-segment display should now display 'P0'. This represents parameter P0. Pressing the '+' or '-' buttons will cycle through the various parameters ( P0 to P6).
Pressing the 'SET' button whilst any of these parameters are displayed will allow you to change the value for that parameter using the '+' and '-' buttons. When finished setting a parameter, press the set button to exit that option. If no buttons are pressed for approximately 5 seconds that thermostat will exit the perimeter options and will return to the default temperature display.
Heating Parameter P0:
P0 has two settings, C and H. As the relay energizes when the temperature is reached, the default setting C can be utilized to connect to an air conditioner. When the required temperature is found, setting H results in de energizing the relay. Any heating apparatus can be controlled by it.
Hysteresis Parameter P1:
The temperature range that must alter before a relay will change status is determined by this parameter.
Parameter P2 (Upper Limit Temperature):
P2 limits the maximum trigger temperature that can be set. It serves as a safety feature that prevents the user from setting a trigger temperature that is too high.
Parameter P3 (Lower Limit Temperature)
: P3 limits the minimum trigger temperature that can be set. As a safety measure, it prevents the user from setting a low triggering temperature.
Offset Correction Parameter P4:
If there is a discrepancy between the displayed temperature and the actual temperature measurement using this parameter, changes can be made.
Delay Parameter P5:
The delay parameter P5 can be used to control how long the relay switches after the trigger temperature has been attained. It can be set for up to ten minutes at a time, in one-minute intervals.
Alarm Parameter P6:
When the temperature exceeds the specified level, this parameter causes the relay to shut off. As a warning, the display will flash "---" when an alarm condition exists. When the temperature reaches this point, the relay will not re-energize.

The XH-W1219 12V digital
temperature controller
is a device that allows you to control the temperature of a system or process using a digital interface. It typically includes a temperature sensor, a control algorithm, and an output mechanism to control the temperature. The XH-W1219 is a 12V version, meaning that it operates at a voltage of 12V DC. It may have inputs for setting the temperature setpoint and control parameters, as well as outputs for controlling devices such as heating elements or cooling fans. The controller may also have a display for showing the current temperature, setpoint, and other information. It may be used in a wide range of applications including HVAC systems, incubators, ovens, and other temperature-controlled environments.
The XH-W1219 module is basically the same as the popular W-1209 module except it has a 2nd display added to always show the current trigger point along with the current temperature. When programming the parameters in the module, the dual displays make it a little easier see what you are doing since the top display shows the parameter selected while the bottom display shows the value you are setting. This module is slightly larger than the W-1209 and so will not fit in the acrylic case designed for that module.
A built in STM8S uC allows you to configure the module using the display and 3 pushbuttons. All settings are saved into non-volatile memory and are preserved during a power cycle.
The temperature is sensed by a high accuracy waterproof NTC 10K Thermistor that has a range of -30°C to 110°C (-22°F to 230°F) . The sensor cable is about 13? long, but it is possible to splice wire to lengthen the cable if needed.
The relay is rated for up to 120VAC @ 10A and 14VDC @ 10A. When the relay is energized an LED is lit. It is also possible to use the relay on this module to switch higher power relays if you want to control a lot of power.

= (Heat / Cool) sets whether the relay is energized or de-energized when trigger temperature is reached.

= (Hysteresis) sets the difference in degrees between the Trigger temp and when the relay changes state

= (Max Temp) sets the maximum Trigger temp that can be set

= (Min Temp) sets the minimum Trigger temp that can be set
P4
= (Temp Correction) sets an offset to use for the displayed value
P5
= (Delay) sets a time delay between when the Trigger temp is reached and when the relay is switched
