Getting Raspberry Pi Pico started with MicroPython
Program your Raspberry Pi Pico with the easy to use drag and drop feature. All you need to do is simply connect the Raspberry Pi Pico to a computer via USB, then drag and drop the file onto it. Follow the given steps to get the MicroPython started on your Raspberry Pi Pico:
Download the MicroPython UF2 file.
Push and hold the BOOTSEL button and plug your Pico into the USB port of your Raspberry Pi or another computer.
Release the BOOTSEL button after your Pico is connected to your computer.
It will mount as a Mass Storage Device called RPI-RP2.
Drag and drop the MicroPython UF2 file onto the RPI-RP2 volume.
Your Pico will reboot. You are now running MicroPython.
You can access the REPL and MicroPython via USB Serial.
How to blink an LED on Raspberry Pi Pico?
Blinking an LED is the first program anyone writes on a new microcontroller. The Raspberry Pi Pico comes with a single LED on-board connected to GPIO pin 25. Follow the given steps to get the LED to blink on your Raspberry Pi Pico:
Download the Blink UF2
Push and hold the BOOTSEL button and plug your Pico into the USB port of your Raspberry Pi or another computer.
It will mount as a Mass Storage Device called RPI-RP2.
Drag and drop the Blink UF2 binary onto the RPI-RP2 volume.
Pico will reboot, and the on-board LED should start blinking.

Raspberry Pi Pico H with Soldered Headers is a low-cost microcontroller board that features their powerful new chip, the RP2040, and all the fixin to get started with IoT-embedded electronics projects.
Raspberry Pi Pico H is Similar to the classic Raspberry Pi Pico but adds pre-soldered headers and a new 3-pin debug connector.
There are 20 pads on each side, with groups of GPIO pins interleaved with plenty of ground pins. All of the GPIO pins are 3.3V logic and are not 5V-safe so stick to 3V! You get a total of 25 GPIO pins, 3 of which can be analog inputs (the chip has 4 ADC but one is not broken out). There are no true analog output (DAC) pins.
On the slim green board is minimal circuitry to get you going: A 5V to 3.3V power supply converter, single green LED on GP25, boot select button, RP2040 chip with dual-core Cortex M0, Wireless chipset with antenna, 2 MegaBytes of QSPI flash storage, and crystal.
Note: This variation comes with a set of male headers pre-soldered to all through-hole vias and a 3-pin debug connector. The spacing remains 2.54mm and breadboard compatible (even more so now with the addition of the male headers).
