consists of three pins i.e. VCC, GND, and DO. The digital out pin is connected to the output pin of the LM393 comparator IC. Using the Reed Switch sensor module with a microcontroller is very easy. Connect the Digital Output pin of the module to the Digital pin of Microcontroller. Connect VCC and GND pins to 5V and GND pins of Microcontroller. When the Reed Switch sensor detects the magnetic field, it closes the circuit and the digital pin of the module that is connected to the LM393 IC goes high.

When there is more water, the soil will conduct more electricity which means that there will be less resistance. Therefore, the moisture level will be higher. Dry soil conducts electricity poorly, so when there will be less water, then the soil will conduct less electricity which means that there will be more resistance. Therefore, the moisture level will be lower.

12V DC Solenoid Water Air Valve Switch (Normally Closed) – 1/4? controls the flow of fluid (liquid or air) and acts as a valve between high-pressure fluid. There are two ½” (Nominal NPT) outlets. Normally, the valve is closed. When a 12V DC supply is applied to the two terminals, the valve opens and water can push through. As it is a normally closed assembly, it opens the flow of fluids as soon as it is powered ON and stops/blocks the flow when the supply voltage is removed.
This is a 2 way Solenoid Valve

. So, it has has 2 connections, one of them is liquid inlet and other is outlet. It accepts DC voltage of 12V. When there is input voltage on the Solenoid Terminals, it operates, and opens up, allowing the liquid to flow from inlet to outlet.
The Solenoid has push fit connectors on each side. So, this connector will allow us to directly push the pipe or nozzle into the solenoid without worrying of leaking.
