74HC Series
74HC148 is a 16 Pin 8-Line to 3-Line Priority Encoder IC having 2V to 6V Operating Voltage range with a 5.2mA output current and low power consumption. It encodes Eight Data Lines to a 3-Line Binary. It features priority decoding of the inputs to ensure that only the highest-order data line is encoded. Cascading circuitry (enable input EI and enable output EO) has been provided to allow octal expansion without the need for external circuitry. Data inputs and outputs are active at the low logic level.

8-Bit Serial In/Parallel Out Shift Register IC - 74HC164
The
74HC Series
74HC164 IC utilizes advanced silicon-gate CMOS technology. It has high noise immunity and low consumption of standard CMOS integrated circuits. It also offers speeds comparable to low-power Schottky devices. This 8-bit shift register has gated serial inputs and CLEAR.
Each register bit is a D-type master/slave flip-flop. Inputs A & B permit complete control over the incoming data. A LOW at either or both inputs inhibits the entry of new data and resets the first flip-flop to the low level at the next clock pulse. A high level of one input enables the other input which will then determine the state of the first flip-flop.
Data at the serial inputs may be changed while the clock is HIGH or LOW, but only information meeting the setup and hold time requirements will be entered. Data is serially shifted in and out of the 8-bit register during the positive-going transition of the clock pulse. Clear is independent of the clock and accomplished by a low level at the CLEAR input. The 74HC logic family is functionally as well as pin-out compatible with the standard 74LS logic family. All inputs are protected from damage due to static discharge by internal diode clamps to VCC and the ground.

74HC595 high-speed shift register utilizes advanced silicon-gate CMOS technology. This device possesses the high noise immunity and low power consumption of standard CMOS integrated circuits, as well as the ability to drive 15 LS-TTL loads. This device contains an 8-bit serial-in, parallel-out shift register that feeds an 8-bit D-type storage register. The storage register has 8 3-STATE outputs. Separate clocks are provided for both the shift register and the storage register.
The shift register has a direct-overriding clear, serial input, and serial output (standard) pins for cascading. Both the shift register and storage register use positive-edge triggered clocks. If both clocks are connected together, the shift register state will always be one clock pulse ahead of the storage register. The 74HC logic family is speed, function, and pin-out compatible with the standard 74LS logic family. All inputs are protected from damage due to static discharge by internal diode clamps to VCC and the ground.

The CD40193 IC up/down counters are monolithic complementary MOS (CMOS) integrated circuits. The CD40192BM and CD40192BC are BCD counters, while the CD40193BM and CD40193BC are binary counters. Counting up and counting down is performed by two count inputs, one being held high while the other is clocked. The outputs change on the positive-going transition of this clock.

counters feature preset inputs that are enabled when the load is a logical ‘‘0’’ and a clear which forces all outputs to ‘‘0’’ when it is at a logical ‘‘1’’. The counters also have to carry and borrow outputs so that they can be cascaded using no external circuitry. All inputs are protected against damage due to static discharge by clamps to VDD and VSS.
