It also has three PWM modes; High mode goes from 7.4 KHz to 11KHz, Medium mode goes from 780Hz to 1.2KHz and Low mode goes from 100Hz to 160KHz.

This breakout can be very handy in creating devices that warn the user of sunburn or detect the UV index as it relates to weather conditions.

detects 280-390nm light most effectively. This is categorized as part of the UVB (burning rays) spectrum and most of the UVA (tanning rays) spectrum. It outputs an analog voltage that is linearly related to the measured UV intensity (mW/cm2).
Simply connect the output of the module to an ADC channel of the microcontroller to read UV Light intensity.

Arduino
Motor shield and Monster Motor shield is the change in the driving IC. In the standard Arduino
Motor
shield the IC used is L298 H bridge IC which has a current capacity of 1 A which is replaced by the VNH3DP30 chip with a 14A continuous current capacity with heat dissipation devices installed. This motor driver also has a thermal shutdown function possible as the thermal output is provided on the analog pin of Arduino.
Note:
When using this board in extremely high-demand applications it may be necessary to improve thermal performance with a heat sink or fan and to solder the wires directly to the board instead of using a screw terminal (in addition to the myriad other complications present in a high-current system). However, when using the board at currents up to 6A the chips will barely become noticeably warm.
