HUB is a unit that is used in order to expand the GROVE ports over the M5Stack device. For example, if we want sensors with different I2C addresses or output to 3 devices at the same time. (M5Stack device usually can output one device at a time to limited amount of grove ports)
Note:
HUB is just a hardware expander, if you are looking for a hardware and software (standard protocol) expander like I2C, Single-bus, please check PaHUB or PbHUB.
If you are connecting two I2C slave devices onto HUB that share the same address, you will have a problem getting I2C data from both. The I2C addresses of the devices must be different, they can be changed manually by changing the resistor values.

BUS allows you to add your own custom circuit design to the universal prototype perboard so it could interact with the M5Core via M-BUS.
Just like other M5modules, BUS can connect with other layers through M-BUS, while in this module, we've extended the M_BUS pin to pin to the other side of the board. You might need to cut off the fence on the side to be able to expose the pins. We've included a 2*15 90 degrees pin set in the package.

The catch is a gripper that uses an SG92R servo as a power source. The servo uses a PWM signal to drive the gripper gear to rotate and control the gripper for clamping and releasing operations. The structure adopts a design compatible with Lego 8mm round holes. You can combine it with other Lego components to build creative control structures, such as robotic arms, gripper carts, etc.
Note:
Because the opening and closing angle of the gripper is 90°, please control the rotation angle of the driving servo to 0-45° (PWM: freq: 50Hz, 0°-45°(pulse:0.5ms-1ms) to prevent blocking rotation. The steering gear burned out.

COLOR is a color recognition unit integrated with the TCS3472 chipset. As the name says, COLOR is able to detect color value and return RGB data as a response.
Identify color principle: The TCS3472 chipset is integrated with a 3*4 array of filtered photodiodes and 16-bit analog-to-digital embedded converters. Out of the 12 photodiodes, 3 have red filters, 3 have green filters, 3 have blue filters and 3 have no filter (clear), which gives a total range of RGBA (RGB + Transparency)
When detecting the color of an object the TCS3472 returns data from four channels: red(R), green(G), blue(B) and clear(C)(non-filtered). The response from the red, green, and blue channels (RGB) can be used to determine a particular source’s chromaticity coordinates (x, y).

EARTH unit is a Soil Moisture Sensor for measuring the moisture in the soil and similar materials.
The soil moisture sensor usage is pretty straight forward, the two large exposed pads function as probes for the sensor, together acting as a variable resistor.
The higher moisture that is in the soil means the better the conductivity between the two so that the sensor will result in lower resistance, and a higher SIG out.
You can read the moisture in the soil by using the ADC. Inside this Unit, we've added extra potentiometers to change the measurement range.
Note:
Electrode of the unit is not anti-corrosive, or waterproof, for POC purposes only. Please, do NOT put it in a humid environment for a long while.
