1K ohm 16mm Rotatory Variable Potentiometer Potentiometers are very useful in changing the electrical parameters of a system. It is a single turn 1K Potentiometer with a rotating knob. These potentiometers are also commonly called as a rotary potentiometer or just POT in short. These three-terminal devices can be used to vary the resistance between 500 to to 1k ohms by simply rotating the knob. A potentiometer knob can also be used along with this POT for aesthetic purposes. This is a carbon track, single turn, adjustable resistances, of value 1KOhm Knob potentiometer. It is meant for mounting on panel and is supplied complete with a knob. The knob is affixed on the plastic spindle of the potentiometer and turns the spindle which changes the resistance. The variation of resistance is linearly proportion to the degree of rotation. Potentiometer, in electronic parlance, is a manually variable resistance. Because its most common consumer application is for controlling volume/tone of sound in broadcast receivers, it is loosely referred to as "volume" or ''tone''. It is not a meter with scale and needle. Potentiometers look different depending on size, power handled, application, value and type of material used. There is, however, a common feature-there is wiper which sweeps over a length of resistive material. The two ends of the resistive material as also the wiper are available to the user as electrical terminations. The user gets a variable resistance between the wiper and the two ends. check out : 10K Pot potentiometer with Knob

1k Ohm Resistor - (Pack of 10)

1k Ohm Resistor - (Pack of 10) A 1k Ohm resistor is an electronic component that is used to reduce the flow of electric current in a circuit. It is a passive component that is designed to resist the flow of current, and it is often used to limit the current in a circuit to protect other components from damage. The value of a resistor is typically measured in Ohms, and the value of a 1k Ohm resistor is 1,000 Ohms. This value represents the resistance of the resistor to the flow of electric current. Lets understand the Resistor Colour Coding better with the help of Resistor Colour cod Resistor colour Colour Code Black 0 Brown 1 Red 2 Orange 3 Yellow 4 Green 5 Blue 6 Violet 7 Gray 8 White 9 Using the above chart, one can find that the following colors stand for the respective color code. Each resistance color code has a tolerance value. Let's see what are the tolerance Percentages: Resistance colour code Tolerance value Brown ±1% Red ±2% Gold ±5% Silver ±10% Resistor Colour Code Calculator The below table shows the carbon resistor colour code: Band 1 Band 2 Band 3 Band 4 Colour First Second Multiplier Tolerance Black 0 1 Brown 1 1 10 ±1% Red 2 2 100 ±2% Orange 3 3 1000 ±0.05% Yellow 4 4 10,000 ±0.02% Green 5 5 100,000 ±0.5% Blue 6 6 1,000,000 ±0.25% Violet 7 7 10,000,000 ±0.1% Grey 8 8 100,000,000 ±0.01% White 9 9 1,000,000,000 - Gold 0.1 ±5% Silver 0.01 ±10% Pink 0.001 - Now, we will take the values of the first two or three bands from the left, depending on the total number of bands, then we will multiply that value by the multiplier to get the resistance value of the resistor. Note: Always read resistors from the left side to the right side. T he first band is always closest to the lead and Gold-silver bands are always located at the last.
